Christa was born and raised in Southern California. At the age of 3, her mother put her in a dance class at Carlsbad Dance Centre. Christa fell in love with dance and continued her training in tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, musical theatre, ballet, and lyrical at Dance Unlimited where she competed for 7 years winning multiple 1st overall titles and scholarships to continue her training across the US.
At the age of 14, she began training at Evoke Dance Movement and signed with The Movement Talent agency out of Los Angeles. In 2015, as a member of Evoke Tap Movement, competed on America’s Got Talent Season 10 where they earned the chance to film in New York for the Semi-Finals. To further her education, Christa has sought training under choreographers such as Mia Michaels, Nappy Tabs, Misha Gabriel, Kenny Wormald, Tessandra Chavez, and numerous other professional instructors.
Christa was on her high school dance team as well as ECDC where she earned multiple awards for her choreography and style. After high school, she joined the US Army Reserves and is still currently serving as a Geospatial Analyst and a Psychological Operations Specialist.
Christa is now teaching dance full time as a PE teacher at Bella Mente Montessori Academy as well as teaching at multiple studios in Southern California.
She is thrilled to be a part of the Fusion dance family and can’t wait to share her passion with her students.
