Caitlyn Gallison is a San Diego native who started dancing at the age of three and never wanted to leave the stage. She studied extensively in ballet, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary. She spent her summers studying at The School of American Ballet, Houston Ballet, Los Angeles Ballet, and Ballet Arizona. Caitlyn competed at the Youth American Grand Prix in San Diego, winning second place in Contemporary. She also placed first overall and won regional titles at various competitions, including Dance Masters, Nuvo, Hollywood Connection, and Star Power.
At seventeen, she joined City Ballet of San Diego’s company where she performed soloist and principal roles in George Balanchine’s Rubies, The Four Temperaments, Don Quixote, and The Nutcracker.
In 2013, she started teaching throughout San Diego and choreographing dances for competition. Most recently, her choreography placed first and third at Energy Nationals 2021. Currently, she spends her time playing with her two dogs, studying Biochemistry, and sharing her knowledge of dance to the hardworking kids of San Diego.
